Star Alignments in the Mayan Cities
Some cities like Uxmal are laid out like the Zodiac (HEAVEN'S MIRROR, Graham Hancock and Santha Faiia, Page 34; and LOST HALL OF RECORDS John van Auken and Lora Little, Page 159, citing THE ZODIACAL TEMPLES OF UXMAL, Stansbury Hagar, 1921. See also ELEMENTS OF THE MAYA AND MEXICAN ZODIACS, Vienna: A Hartleblen, 1909). Hagar believed that several Mayan cities were laid out according to the Zodiac, including:
In addition, Hagar also wrote about the cities of Teotihuacan (THE CELESTIAL PLAN OF TEOTIHUACAN, Imp. del Museo nacional de arqueologia, historia y etnologia, 1912) and Cuzco (CUZCO, THE CELESTIAL CITY, Eschenbach Print. Company, 1905) being laid out according to the zodiac.
Specifically, Hagar wrote:
Many and perhaps all of the Maya cities were planned to reflect on earth the supposed design of the heavens… In four places - Uxmal, Chichen Itza, Yaxchilan and Palenque - an almost complete zodiacal sequence can be recognized and sequences of varying extent are seen in many other places, including the temples and stele [sic] of Copan and Quirigua, … (HEAVEN'S MIRROR Graham Hancock and Santha Faiia, Page 33, citing POPULAR ASTRONOMY, The Zodiacal Temples of Uxmal, Stansbury Hagar, 1921, Page 96)
Orion-The 3 Star in Orion's Belt
Some cities have alignments with the 3 main stars in Orion's Belt (the Cosmic Hearth), like the Cross Group in Palenque (although set to 692C.E., not 10,500B.C.E.; LOST HALL OF RECORDS John van Auken and Lora Little, Pages 168-170, citing the work of Matthew Looper and Linda Schele), Piedras Negras (LOST HALL OF RECORDS John van Auken and Lora Little, Page ), Uaxactun , and the Post-Classic Utatlan (LOST HALL OF RECORDS John van Auken and Lora Little, Page 159, citing TIME AND ASTRONOMY AT THE MEETING OF TWO WORLDS, PROCEEDINGS OF THE INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM, 27 April-2 May 1992, 72 and 74, A Stellar City: Utatlan and Orion (1992), Jose Fernandez).
Some cities have alignments with the Pleiades, like Tikal.
