Sound/Acoustics in Mayan Temples

Chichen Itza Pyramid of Kukulkan has unique sound properties. David Lubman at the November 2010 PAN-AMERICAN/IBERIAN MEETING ON ACOUSTICS discussed how clapping 1's hands in front of EL CASTILLO (Pyramid of Kukulkan) creates a sound like the song of a Quetzal bird (THE PYRAMIDS AND THE PENTAGON Nick Redfern Page 76, Paragraph 2; see also the JOURNAL OF THE ACOUSTICAL SOCIETY OF AMERICA). Furthermore, Nico Declerq of Ghent University, Belgium, discussed how people sitting at the pyramid base heard the footsteps of tourists at higher levels as sounding like rainfall (Ibid).
